Action Research Plan Activity
For my action research plan, I am going to be determining what factors contribute to the success and non-success of first grade reading levels. After gathering and analyzing that data, I will come up with a plan on how to solve the issue of low reading levels in the first grade. I think that pinpointing certain areas that need improvement will allow the first grade teachers to use the data to drive their instruction. We will be able to know what things or skills we need to focus more on and hopefully help solve our issue. I can't wait to see what I can come up with to help out my team!

What a great way to help your team. Do you know how you are going to solve the issues yet? Reading is so important. With the way our curriculum is set they can't afford to get behind.

ReplyDeleteI have an idea of how I am going to solve the problem. I am really going to look at the interventions that we are implementing for the struggling students and determine which ones are working and which ones are not. I will then try to come up with different ways to full-fill those student's needs through different interventions. I think that we may need to start the interventions sooner than what we did this year. I think that will really help. I also feel like we will need to offer before and after school tutorials sooner than what we did. I also feel like if we set-up individual goals for each student, they may feel more successful when they reach that goal and are ready to move to the next goal.
